A drive on your computer
Connect over WebDAV: File Explorer on Windows, Finder on macOS and rclone on Linux. You copy and open files like on any other drive.
Cloud storage · WebDAV · Atlayo ID
Atlayo Disk shows up in File Explorer or Finder like any other drive. What you save on your computer is instantly on the web, and the other way around. Every Atlayo account includes 5 GB.
Devices and drives (3)
How it works
No installer and no servers to set up. The rest is handled by the system you already have.
On disk.atlayo.com you sign in like in any other Atlayo service. There is no extra password to remember, you approve access in the app on your phone.
In the account menu choose “Connect as a drive” and name the device. You get a password just for it, and you can revoke it any time.
Paste the drive address and the password into File Explorer, Finder or rclone. From then on Atlayo Disk is one more drive on your computer.
One drive
Your computer and the web both work directly with Atlayo storage. There is no background sync tool to run and no file ends up in two versions.
Folders, files, trash and sharing in one place.
Features
Atlayo Disk is a full cloud storage service. Mounting it on your computer is just one way to reach your files.
Connect over WebDAV: File Explorer on Windows, Finder on macOS and rclone on Linux. You copy and open files like on any other drive.
Photos are ordered by the date they were taken. Build albums from your favourites and share them.
A link to a file or folder, or sharing with people from your Atlayo contacts. You can turn a link off at any time.
File contents are encrypted in your browser and the vault password never leaves it.
Open and edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations (DOCX, XLSX, PPTX) right on the web.
Deleted files go to the trash first, and you can bring them back. History shows what happened to them.
Atlayo ID instead of one more password: scan a QR code or enter your phone number and approve in the app.
Files up to 512 MB. Drag and drop on the web, plain copy and paste on your computer.
Connect
You create the username and device password inside Disk, in the account menu under “Connect as a drive”. The drive address is the same for everyone.
https://disk.atlayo.com/webdav/
Or do the same with one command in Command Prompt:
net use Z: https://disk.atlayo.com/webdav/ /user:USERNAME PASSWORD /persistent:yesBy default Windows only transfers files up to 50 MB. Raise the limit in PowerShell started as administrator (it restarts the WebClient service):
Set-ItemProperty -Path 'HKLM:\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Parameters' -Name FileSizeLimitInBytes -Value 4294967295; Restart-Service WebClientIf Windows reports error 67 (network name not found), start the “WebClient” service (services.msc) and try again.
Install rclone and run these commands. The drive is mounted in the AtlayoDisk folder:
rclone config create atlayo webdav url https://disk.atlayo.com/webdav/ vendor other user USERNAME pass 'PASSWORD'
mkdir -p ~/AtlayoDisk
rclone mount atlayo: ~/AtlayoDisk --vfs-cache-mode writesIn GNOME Files you can also open “Other Locations” and enter davs://disk.atlayo.com/webdav/.
Security
Mounting the drive never asks you to type your Atlayo ID anywhere. Every device gets its own access.
Every computer has its own password and you can have up to 20 devices connected at once. Revoke any of them with one click.
The drive connects over HTTPS only. We store a device password only as a hash, and it is never shown again.
Repeated wrong sign-in attempts are slowed down and, after a few tries, temporarily blocked.
The encrypted vault is not mounted on your computer, so its contents never leave their encrypted form.
Specifications
No small print. Everything you might ask before connecting is here.
Questions
In Windows choose “Map network drive” and paste https://disk.atlayo.com/webdav/. Sign in with the username and device password you create inside Disk (account menu → Connect as a drive). The drive then shows up among your drives in “This PC”, just like C: or D:.
Files are kept in storage that we manage for Atlayo Disk. Your computer reaches them through a secured Atlayo gateway, so the web and your computer show the same data. Nothing is copied back and forth in the background.
Not on Windows or macOS, the connection is built into the system. On Linux we recommend the free rclone tool, or any file manager that supports WebDAV (for example GNOME Files).
That is the default Windows limit for WebDAV drives, not a limit of Atlayo Disk. You raise it with one PowerShell command (see the Connect section). Disk itself accepts files up to 512 MB.
Every computer has its own password. In Disk you revoke it with one click and that device is disconnected immediately. Your Atlayo ID sign-in is not affected and your other computers stay connected.
No. Files in the vault are encrypted in your browser and the vault password never leaves it. That is why the vault is not mounted as a drive and you use it on the web only. Atlayo cannot recover a forgotten vault password, so keep it safe.
The file goes to the Atlayo Disk trash, where you can restore it. Helper files that operating systems create on their own (such as .DS_Store or Thumbs.db) are removed straight away and take no space.
Every Atlayo account includes 5 GB. The largest single file is 512 MB. You can see how much you have used in Disk.
Sign in with Atlayo ID and within minutes the drive is connected on your computer.
