What is an eSIM and does my phone support it?
An eSIM is a digital SIM. You install it with a QR code, with no plastic card. To see if your phone can use it, dial *#06#. If an EID line appears, it supports eSIM. Otherwise it works on iPhone XS and XR and newer, Pixel 3 and newer, and Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer. The phone must not be locked to a carrier. You keep the plastic SIM in the phone, so you stay reachable on your own number.
When does my eSIM start?
You get the QR code instantly after payment. The validity starts only when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination, so you can install it a week before you leave.
How does a virtual phone number work?
You get a number in a country where you are not physically present (e.g. the US or Germany). Incoming calls ring on your mobile, in your browser, in a SIP app or go to voicemail. Texts show up in the app and can be forwarded to your e-mail.
Is there a lock-in?
No. You accept the terms, but nothing ties you in for a fixed term. Everything runs on prepaid credit: top up from 250 CZK and pay only for what you use. You can cancel a number at any time.
How do I sign in?
With Atlayo ID – the same account you use for Atlayo Notes or Calendar. You approve the sign-in in the Atlayo app by scanning a QR code or confirming a notification, no password needed.
What if the eSIM does not work?
If you never install the eSIM, we refund the full amount to your credit. Our guides and support will help you with the installation.
